Learning outcomes: During the course the student gets the knowledge and practical skills in the range of breeding and husbandry of water fowl.
Competences: The completion of the course gives the knowledge in the range of water fowl husbandry that allows to undertake the field job, and to conduct the research concerning water fowl.
Prerequisites: animal anatomy, animal physiology, basis of animal nutrition;
Course content: To make the students familiar with wild ducks and geese, with economic significance of geese and ducks, breeding material that is currently supported in Poland, conditions of maintenance and feeding of water fowl, genetic reserve, conservative flocks and water birds met in amateur breeding.
