Knows the principles of managing the construction investment process at its different stages.
Knows the scope of construction contracts and other agreements in the construction process.
Knows the rules of the organization of construction production.
Skills
Can formulate a tasks of the investment process participants.
Is able to prepare a schedule of construction works.
Is able to assess the risks that occur during the execution of specified works as well as prepare a safety and health protection plan.

Course content:
The participants of the investment process. The financing of the construction investment. The basic organizational structures of construction projects and building processes. Planning and control the construction projects including technical, technological, organizational, economic, social and environmental aspects. Methods of the organization of the construction. Construction schedules. The principles of development of the construction site. The rules of the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) during construction. Quality assurance systems in construction.
Investment process in the construction. The specificity of the construction investment process. The stages and Milestones of the investment process. Principles of the investment financing. The participants of the investment process - rights, obligations and their relationships. The construction contracts and its negotiation. Design documentation and documents prepared during the construction. Methods of the organization of the investment process and the construction. Construction schedules. The principles of development of the construction site – location of production facilities and service, the size of landfills, the network layout of the roads and installation, social facilities. The principles of development of the construction site. The rules of the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) during construction. Quality assurance systems in construction.
