Knowledge:
Knows the basic characteristics of the construction investment project, its division in to stagesand phasesas well as various construction systems, understands the essence of different models of project management, knows the variety ofrelationship between design options and formulas in the organization of the project. Understands the relationship between cost of the implementation and effectiveness of the project;knows the essence of logistics management in projects building, knows risk factors associated with the implementation of projects and risk management; understands the factors describing the place of the company asa market participant and the principles of company’s marketing strategies and development.
Skills:
-can describe implementation procedure of the project for different systems of execution;
-knows how to present the relationship between design process and formulas in the organization of the project;
-is able to determine the relationship between the cost of the implementation and effectiveness of the project,
-is able to analyse the logistics processes in materials management, -is able to define the risk factors in the building process and to define the hierarchy,
-knows how to prepare the basic data for the preparation of the risk management plan;
-can define the factors describing the place of the company as a market participant and the principles of company’s marketing strategies and development.

The concepts of construction investment process - management instruments, investment financing, risk. The legal aspects of the investment process in construction. Construction project management including the factors and conditions which are necessary to execution the object at assumed time and in accordance with the planed cost, scope and quality.
Construction projects. Basic regulations. Public investments. The stages and Milestones of the construction investment process. The realization of construction projects systems and their impact on management. Construction project management under uncertainty. Planning the construction project. Feasibility study. Business Plan - the essence and definitions. The investments financing. Sources of financing. Management of construction projects. Risk management - definition of risk, identification, qualification and quantification of risk as well as preventive action. The risk in construction projects. Investment budget management. Construction cost estimates. Time management. Reporting and control of progress. Documentation management. Quality management of works. Quality management of materials.
