The main aim of the course is to refer the students with the basic measures of water and wastewater pollution, wastewater treatment processes as well as technologies used to achieve the necessary degree of pollution reduction.
Technologies of removing dissolved solids, colloids and suspensions from water. Rules for selection of technological systems and devices depending on the composition of the treated water and the requirements for water quality by the public water supply. Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of wastewater. Methods for removal of nutrients from wastewater. Water and wastewater management in industrial plants. Wastewater treatment in conditions close to natural. Sewage sludge management.
