In result of course the student will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of the vegetation differentiation, as well as methods of the plant communities identification and mutual relations between phytocoenoses and their habitats.Competences:
The student gains practical skilling of: making phytosociological relevés in the field, preparing phytosociological tables, identifying various plant communities on the base of the character species combination and knows how to asses the natural vegetation transformations.Prerequisites:
Systematic Botany, Plant Ecology, Soil Science.Course content:
Phytosociological terminology, methods used in phytosociological research, human impact upon the vegetation, development of vegetation on the area of Poland in Quaternary, classification and characterization of plant communities occurring in Poland, with special attention of those occurring in Lower Silesia.
