PolishLearning outcomes:
Students know structure, function and metabolic processes of proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, sugars with participation of appropriate enzymes and know the enzymes kinetics and energetic processes.
Competences:
Students are able to adapt appropriate method to biological substances measurement, know how to study enzymes activity and properties, know how to use laboratory equipment.
Prerequisites:
Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry Course content:
Structure, function and metabolism of biologically important molecules ( proteins, amino acids, sugars, fatty acids) mechanism and kinetics of enzyme action, structure and function of nucleic acids, introduction to biological membranes, regulation and integration of metabolism.
