It is required a knowledge of plant requirements Course content:
Students receive knowledge about unconventional ways of introducing greenery into the cities. During the course, student performs design of green roof and vertical garden(teamwork) and indoor space taking into account the plant ceiling, living walls and green roof (individual or teamwork depending of difficulty).
Classes start from the individual work, in which each student performs flower bed design located in Wroclaw. Project must take the form of detailed technical drawings, which may be part of a larger project, with all the necessary elements needed for the project construction. The next stage of the course is team work involving the implementation of the project management of the greenery public space in the city.
During lectures students learn the correct design and selection of plant material in a variety of public spaces (street-adjacent green, green roofs, living walls, parks, squares and other public spaces) and private spaces with restricted access, for example, the nursery area. Discussed in detail are the types of flower bed in a historical perspective, needs and ways of analysis field for the planned greenery, as well as the need for cooperation with the representatives of other industries. Briefly discussed is the greenery indoors.
