After completing the course, students will be able to assess the need for restoration of various aquatic environments, choose the appropriate method to restore the natural lakes and rivers, to plan the preparatory and implementation of selected activities.Competences:
Completing the course allows you to take up employment in companies engaged in the work of hydroengineering (river beds, flood protection), in government positions related to the issuance of a decision on the work of engineering, in institutions for protection of the environment, scientific research units.Prerequisites:
Botany, zoology, hydrobiologyCourse content:
Geomorphological conditions of anthropogenic interference with the development and shaping of rivers, assessment of the environment and river basin, the assessment of the degree of \\\\\\\"proximity to nature\\\\\\\" of the aquatic environment, creating sheets for field work, analysis and interpretation of documentation, selection of appropriate ways to shape the regulatory path of the river, and the longitudinal profile cross-channel stream, strengthen and strip edge, floodplains, forming streams in a manner consistent with the nature, addressing the needs of plants and animals (especially fish fauna), natural method of flood prevention, the littoral zone of lakes renaturisation, methods of prevention of eutrophication of water reservoirs, eko-methods of recovery lakes.Recommended literature:
