Learning outcomes: Knowledge of the legal system regarding organic farming, the ability to select and use appropriate methods of plant protection for organic farming. Ability to recognize and diagnose plant threats in organic farming from insects, plant diseases and abiotic factors.
Competences: Knowledge of plant protection in organic and conventional farming, the ability to assess the risk of pests and diseases in organic farming.
Prerequisites: Botany, Phytopathology, Plant cultivation
Course content: Methods of plant protection in organic and conventional farms, prevention in plant protection, the economic importance of pathogenic organisms and their influence on the condition of the organic farms, the legal conditions for creation of organic farms and their conduct.
