After completing the course student knows the types of small retention and ways of creating, is able to determine the disposable resources for the environment, knows what methods can improve soil water balance and increase the disposable resources in unit area (basin, community, district, region).Competences:
After completing the course student is prepared to work in teams implementing the programs of small retention.Prerequisites:
Soil science, hydrology Course content:
The mechanism of water circulation in natural environment and agricultural, water resources in Poland, catchments water balance and possibilities of improvement, forms and types of retention, controllable and non- controllable retention, small water reservoirs and sources of supply, soil retention, biogeochemical barriers in forming soil water retention and landscape retention, impact of the river damming on the water conditions of the adjacent areas.Recommended literature:
Assessment methods:
The exercise – compulsory execution and allocation of study of possibility of increasing the resources of small retention as a result of changes in land use unit of area, written exam, final mark: 50%- exercise and 50% result of exam.Comment:
