Learning outcomes: Attendance in the course gives theoretical and practice knowledge about whole economy and its determinants which have influence on domestic product and economical development. The student recognises the mechanism of unemployment and inflation and ways to fight with them. Participation in the course gives knowledge about changes in economic prosperity and is helpful for adaption to these processes.
Competences: Ending of the course gives possibility to get a job in institutions which are responsible economic policy. The course is also useful for prediction and adaption to macroeconomic changing situation.
Prerequisites: Microeconomics, Basic of Mathematics
Course content: Definition of macroeconomics, types of economy (free market, state-controlled, mixed); sectors of national economy; macroeconomic indicators; domestic product; economic growth and development; money; financial system; monetary system; employment market; unemployment and inflation – definitions, reasons, consequences and ways to fight with them; national budget; periods of economic situation; science’s trends in macroeconomics.
