Students know structure, function and metabolic processes of proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, sugars with participation of appropriate enzymes and know the enzymes kinetics and energetic processes.Competences:
Students are able to adapt appropriate method to biological substances measurement, know how to study enzymes activity and properties, know how to use laboratory equipment. Prerequisites:
Inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry Course content:
Structure, function and metabolism of biologically important molecules (proteins, amino acids, sugars, fatty acids) mechanism and kinetics of enzyme action, structure and function of nucleic acids, introduction to biological membranes, regulation and integration of metabolism.Recommended literature:
