PolishLearning outcomes:
On the successful completion students are able to understand formation of organic compounds containing common functional groups and their reactions; understand the conception of aromaticity; recognize and predict the existence of conformational, structural and stereo-isomerism; apply the rules of systematic nomenclature for common organic compounds; describe mechanisms of reactions (addition, substitution and elimination); interpret simple 1H NMR, IR i UV spectra; use a range of manipulative skills associated with work in organic laboratory.Competences:
Laboratory work in organic chemistry. Skills in solving chemical problems.Prerequisites:
