Learning outcomes: On completion of the course, the student is able to choose the organisational and legal form of economic activity, prepare a business plan for an economic activity, knows the styles and methods of management, can perform an analysis of the economic activity of a firm, knows how to choose the form of taxation of economic activity, is acquainted with models of official letters and knows how to prepare documents necessary in searching for a job.

Competences: The students whose progress has been positively assessed can start individual economic activity, find sources of financing and evaluate the decisions taken.

Prerequisites: Economics

Course content: Starting economic activity; organisational and legal forms of small firms; finances in market economy; styles and methods of management; availability of financial instruments; recruitment process; ethics and etiquette in economic activity.
