Students gain ability to use and administrate GNU/linux operating system and its possible use in biology.Competences:
The completion of this course allows students for efficient use of GNU/linux operating system through command line, basic administration, how unix system works, programs and linux kernel compilation.
Additionally the skills can be further used practically with using GNU/linux operating system as an environment for science analysis connected with genetics, bioinformatics, genomics, proteomics. This course is a good introduction to bioinformatics and other courses connected with informatics.
