At the end of this subject students will have experience with the biodiversity of insects, and a fundamental knowledge in biological diversity of insects and their identification, preparing and labeling specimens, using available museum techniques with reference to the studied taxa. The students should be able to understand the role of the effects of insects on various aspects of society.

structure and variability of insects, biology, ways of reproduction, the role in various ecosystems, hypotheses on insects origin and evolution, systematic, research methods used in entomology.Recommended literature:
