Students learn to use advanced methods of bioinformatics including: (i) elements of databases’ construction, (ii) elements of computational biology –using selected computer programs, (iii) advanced methods of statistics applied to the analysis of bioinformatics data and to the Competences:
After the completion of this course students have basic abilities to crate databases and programs using various computer tools, as well as to analyse bioinformatics data. Acquired skills can be used in Master Thesis preparation, scientific researches, in genetic counseling companies as well as software companies related to biocomputing.Prerequisites:

Completion of the computer lab is based on grades, which are granted during the semester (minimum average grade to pass 2.51), completion of the lecture part requires the completion of the computer lab and of the exam (minimum 60% of knowledge required to pass).Comment:
