Student acquire during the course the fundamental theoretical knowledge about the evolutionary processes in biology, principles of natural classification, feno- and phylogenetic analysis, phylogenetic trees, models and algorithms and also about different methods of the phylogenesis reconstruction.Competences:
Student will posses knowledge from evolutionary biology that will allow him to continue more specific studies in the future, carry scientific research and to be a biology teacher.
Prerequisites:
zoology of invertebrates and vertebrates, morphology and systematic of plants, paleontology, evolutionism, genetics, molecular biology.
Course content:
Concept of evolution, naturalness of classification, diversity of forms in taxonomy, features and taxonomy, systematic criteria and the feno- and Phylogenetic analysis, methods for creating phylogenetic trees, verification and interpretation of the phylogenetic analysis results.Recommended literature:
