Learning outcomes: After completion the course the student should get to know question relating advisabilities and the possibility of leadership of works the renaturation techniques in surface waters (river and lake ecosystems), and execute to river restoration projects.
Competences: The completion the object makes possible the student the undertaking in wide the work the understood protection of water ecosystems and the education.
Prerequisites: Protection of environment
Course content: Students further their knowledge of key principles and concepts specific to river ecosystems approaches and acquire practical knowledge and experience relating to management of impacted running-water ecosystems. Ecologically based restoration activities in order to improve degraded lakes and waterways. Methods and techniques – steering with ecological process: biomanipulation, water ecosystem restoration. River restoration projects.
