Students should know the basic problems of metabolic disorders of cows, kept in big herds. They should also know the monitoring rules of cows’ health at herd. The students should know the methods of metabolic disorders’ diagnosing as well as they should know the rules of co-operating with the vets and laboratories.Competences:
After finish of the course the students should diagnose the main problems of metabolic disorders at cows’ herds. The students should also recognize and correct faultinesses of maintenance and feeding’s management. They should be able make the rapid diagnostic tests.Prerequisites:
animal physiology, anatomy, animal hygieneCourse content:
Kinds of metabolic disorders at cattle (pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosing, prevention). The diagnostic- preventive program. Biochemical examination of blood in monitoring of cattle’s health. Use of rapid diagnostic tests. Use of metabolic profile to evaluation of nutrition. The methods of early diagnosing and prevention.Recommended literature:
