Getting to know the anthropological research methods and measurement techniques of the human body and skeleton. The ability to study differentiation of measurable human characteristics and their variability in individual development.Competences:
Selection of methods and measurements of postcanial’s skeleton of human and cranium, the assessment of human skeletal metric traits, selection methods and anthropometric measurements on the living man, the assessment of descriptive characteristics of components of the human body, the ability to perform measurements with the use of medical computer’s applications: X-ray and computed tomography.Prerequisites:
Human anatomy, Applied anthropology.Course content:
Methods for evaluation of sex and age of bone; assessment of body composition, physical fitness and basic characteristics of the human body - necessary for the use in practice anthropometry - industry, ergonomics, health care, criminal investigation and research in the field of anthropology and archeology.Recommended literature:
