Learning outcomes: Students get acknowledged with the rules of scientific work creation in natural sciences field, they acquire skills and learn habits of knowledge broadening using professional literature and Internet, they exercise preparation and delivery of thematically connected reports, they organize and attend in posters session, they review scientific work of their colleagues, they participate in simulated scientific conference, learn academic customs get to will know and they get the skill of leadership in scientific discussion on controversial subjects.

Competences: Course completion will allow for proper realization of the students` qualifying work, it will facilitate efforts of eventual candidate for the 3rd degree studies, prepare for future professional work in scientific field, it will create the possibility for reliable realization of the students` interest.

Prerequisites: Completion of the 1st degree studies.

Course content: Choice of the subject and tutor of the students` qualifying work. General scheme of natural scientific work. Content of chapters of the qualifying work. Writing technique, editorial requirements. Valuable source of knowledge: professional literature, scientific periodicals, Internet. Ethics of the scholars` composition writing, respect for authors\' rights. Rules of scientific report writing and conference poster preparation. Scientific work review. Constructive criticism and scientific discussion. Preparation for the students` scientific project realization and their qualifying work completion.

Assessment methods: Course completion on the basis of the students` presence, activity and assignments.
