Learning outcomes: practical ability of recognition herbivorous fauna on plants, and evaluating of their harmfulnes.
Competences: student can make decision on pests control and its timetable
Prerequisites: Botany, Zoology, Horticulture, Dendrology, Ornamental plants
Course content: Morphology, systematics, development and behaviour of most common phytophagous animals, mainly insects, mites, nematodes and snails. Abiotic and biotic factors effecting the abundance and dynamics of insects populations.The practicals embrace the systematic review of the most important pests in orchards, horticultural (Horticulture) or ornamental crops (MGA).
