PolishLearning outcomes:
Students are experienced in chemical structures, properties and uses of some important plant-origin compounds. Students could perform isolation process of some compounds from plant material. Students are shown connectivity between chemical structure and pharmacological properties. They could recognize and evaluate of chemical composition and quality of important species. Students could perform gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, steam distillation, column chromatography (CC), thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and HPLC. Students could analyze chromatograms GC-MS and some typical NMR-spectra. Students could analyze natural and synthetic volatile additives in food.Competences:
Student could understand processes obtaining and occurring of natural compounds from pharmacognostic plants and some species. Students are able to analyze natural and synthetic aromatic compounds in food.Prerequisites:
