Learning outcomes: Student is able to perform full necropsy of poultry, pigeons or pet-birds , student knows how to take samples for histopathology, microbiology, serology or PCR tests. Student also knows how to interpret microbiological and serological tests.
Competences: After passing the course students are able to suggest for potential diagnose using various diagnostic tools . Students are able to treat poultry and create a vaccination program.
Prerequisites: Animal breeding and nutrition, microbiology, pathomorphology , pharmacology, veterinary toxicology
Course content: Breeding technology of various bird species. Clinical examination of birds, effective diagnosis of birds diseases, interpretation of serological tests.
