Student knows how to analyse economic phenomena and processes on a concrete marketplace from the point of view of business activity of certain subjects, i.e. purchasers, consumers, sellers and producers. Student can recognise separate market structures and determine balance of a company. Has the ability of assessing the position of a competing company and selecting alternative forms of activity. Knows principles of activity and laws regulating the markets of production factors.Competences:
After receiving credits for the course student can work in all economic-financial and management units, logistics departments of a company, as well as manage his own company.Prerequisites:
Knowledge of basics of mathematics and knowledge of society on the secondary school level.Course content:
Market. Law of supply, demand, market balance, flexibility. The household. Theory of consumer’s behaviour. Theory of production. Perfect and imperfect competition. Balance of a company. Alternative theories of a company. Competitive balance and elements of prosperity theory. Markets of production factors.Recommended literature:
