Learning outcomes: After completing the course student will gain the knowledge of processes and methods of plant raw materials preservation and storage; will be able to estimate the usability of plant products to the storage process.

Competences: Students are able to single-handed choose and design preservation technology of plant raw materials relying on knowledge about their parameters and course of further processing.

Prerequisites: Biochemistry, Food Chemistry, Microbiology

Course content: Biological, biochemical and chemical processes during storage of plant raw materials in different circumstances. Technology of storing cereal grains, potatoes, vegetables and fruits. Storage of nonpreserved and preserved plant raw materials. Losses during storage of plant products.
