Student will gain practical and theoretical knowledge of identification of various species and breeds of small ruminants, skills of breeding work running in flocks of small ruminants, proper controlling of reproduction and ability of obtaining products from these animals, i.e. meat, milk, skin, wool, in different maintenance systems.Competences:
Completion of the course will enable to take up a work on a managerial position in any enterprise dealing with husbandry of production of small ruminants.Prerequisites:
Animal physiology, genetic, basis of animal feeding Course content:
Exterieur and performance characteristic of small ruminants, rules of breeding work running, genetic and environmental factors influencing the level of production of small ruminants products, technological and environmental conditions of animals maintenance, reproduction methods.
