Learning outcomes: The course aims to acquaint students with selected energy systems that use alternative energy sources. The teaching will be carried out characterization of the various systems for the capture and conversion of energy, as biomass through combustion, incineration, pyrolysis and gasification, hydrogen, anaerobic digestion processes, the extraction of liquid fuels first, second and higher generation. These sources belong to both environmental sources, which can be used both in the region and in the case of a single farm. This knowledge will also permit a conceptual work associated with the use of new alternative to traditional energy sources.
Competences: After completing the course the student has knowledge of the use of specific systems and technology acquisition and processing of energy from renewable and alternative media. The knowledge allows the student to move freely in the area of alternative energy sources.
Prerequisites: Physics, Fundamentals of Ecology, Bio-energy Technology
Course content: Abilities of harvest, use and put into practice of renevable sources of energy, burning of biomass, production of biofuel, biogas, energy of sun, wind and erth.
