Learning outcomes: Student possesses theoretical and practical knowledge on using organic matter in the environment. Student knows forms and types of humus and is able to analyze fractional composition of humic substances. He possesses also abilities to produce composts from organic wastes as well as to estimate their maturity degree.
Competences: Student is able to use organic matter in reclamation of polluted lands and as a component of media for plant cultivation.
Prerequisites: Chemistry, physics, biology or soil science
Course content: Processes in soils and during mineralization and synthesis of humic substances, methods of humic substances analysis; production of composts from organic wastes.
