Learning outcomes: Development of student’s ability to interpret data about animal production from regional, continental and global perspective taking into account environmental conditions.
Competences: Evaluation of nutritional properties of natural, bio diversified fodder resources; management of animal production due to environmental constraints taking into account stocking density and animal needs; development of animal production schemes for close to nature environment.
Prerequisites: Botany, grasslands management, general animal breeding, animal nutrition
Course content: Animal welfare and production efficiency; systems of animal production aimed towards management of landscape and environment; feeding herbivores with maximum utilisation of natural resources of forage.
