Learning outcomes: After completing the course student should know the requirements of the laboratory estimations of the nutritional value of fodder components and feed additives as well as should be oriented in the matter of legal and technical requirements and procedures necessary in the new materials and feed additives registration. He should acquire necessary informations on the systems of quality both controlling and management with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GHP (Good Hygiene Practice) and ISO 9001:2000.

Competences: Student will be familiar with both the law and organizing regulations that are effective to the producers of the feed materials and feed additives.

Prerequisites: Animal nutrition and feed quality

Course content: The basic principles of fodder law stated in the European Parliament\'s decision, determining general rules and requirements of fodder law will be discussed. This law determines statutory, executive and managing regulations referring to feeds and their safety on the community and domestic level. Legal adjustments embracing all stages of feeds production, processing, distributions and usage will be presented during lectures.
