Learning outcomes: Activity and competencies of horse breeding and sport riding organisations in Poland. Knowledge of aim and improvement of horse breeding programs. Take the opportunity to financial help from EU in agricultural-environmental programs for horse breeders.
Competences: The course will allow student to take a position in a community of national organizations responsible for breeding of horse in Poland. The course design to prepare students for own horse breeding organization in accordance with the rules.
Prerequisites: Horse breeding, genetic, breeding methods, horse feeding, reproduction of horse
Course content: Sphere of activity of institutions responsibility for horse breeding. Analysis of breeding programs and gene resources protection programs of seven breeds of horses. Possibilities of enjoyment of financial support from EU. Visit of horse breeding centres. Observation of performance tests and Championships of Young Horses.
