Student knows the history of insects on Earth and their ecological importance .Realize the role of insect as pollinators in the yielding of agricultural crops. He is knowledgeable in the soil entomofauna and its influence on the soil fertility. He knows the most common predators and parasities of pests of agricultural crops.Competences:

Fundamentals of ecology , general entomology, plant protectionCourse content:
Coevolution of plants and insects and their mutual adaptations. Wild bees and honey bee as flower pollinators. Systematic review of bees. Insects in the soil and their effect on soil fertility. Predatory and parasitic species and their impact on abundance of noxious species. Insects as food basis for others animals. Recommended literature:

Test from lectures and classes after semester 2. Necessary minimum knowledge- 60%.Comment:
