The objective of the course is to familiarize students with basics problems related to breeding of farm and domestic animals, particularly with professional nomenclature; criterions of animal classification to breeds and types; basic characteristic of main Polish and world farm animals; types of animal performances; methods of animal identification and evaluation of breeding value; methods of animal breeding; biotechnology used in animal reproduction and genetic improvement.Recommended literature:
