after completing the course student learns about genetic background of behavioural traits and how to use them in breeding work.
Competences:
passing the course permits conducting genetic analysis of behavioural traits in animals.Prerequisites:
zoology, animal physiology, animal genetics. Course content:
characteristics of behavioural traits, role of behavioural traits in evolution and domestication processes, genetic parameters of behavioural traits, genetic base of aggressive behaviour, natural and artificial selection of behavioural traits, behavioural traits in breeding work.
