Knowledge:
knows the established division of farmlands into types, sources of information on real estate; describes the relations between spatial planning and land management; defines the basic rural area development works and explains their importance for agricultural production space management, can name the subjects responsible for their execution; knows the methods for evaluating village and farm configuration forms and the indicators for evaluating roads for agricultural transport;
Abilities:
can characterise agricultural production space; knows how to select proper data for analysing the state of agricultural production space; can formulate a study of the governance state of land and a study of land use; knows how to evaluate the need to undertake rural area development works on a given area; knows how to perform a checkerboard farmland configuration analysis using spatial indicators;
Competences:
Social competence (attitudes):
shows an understanding regarding the importance of rural area development; understands the need to protect farmlands; is aware of the influence of infrastructure investments on agricultural production space and farmland configurations.
Prerequisites:
fundamentals of agriculture and ecology, the environmental determinants of spatial development, geodesy and cartography.Course content:
The structure of land use and governance in Poland. The types of farmland in the land and property register (the cadaster), rules for including farmlands in specific groups. The division of farmlands from the ecological perspective. Agricultural production space as an area of agricultural function, its relations with other functions in rural areas. The farm vs. agricultural real estate. Farmland economy and the restructuring of rural space (distributing land between business entities, improving farmland configurations, protecting the environment). Methods for evaluating village and farm configuration forms. Rural area development works as part of agricultural production space management.Recommended literature:
