Knowledge:
W1 - Student knows the fundamental chemical laws and classification of inorganic and organic compounds [BI_W11];
W2 - recognizes the types of reactions [BI_W06];
W3 - defines and explains the basics of thermodynamics, distinguishes and explains the basic electrochemical processes [BI_W09, BI_W11];
W4 - knows the safety rules in the chemical laboratory [BI_W18].
Skills:
U1 - Student knows how to perform chemical calculations and record and balance chemical reaction equations [BI_U12];
U2 - shall carry out chemical experiments and show their progress in the form of reaction equations [BI_U12];
U3 - can self-assemble and operate the apparatus for the perform of basic physical and chemical operations, and can interpret the observed effects of chemical reactions [BI_U02]. Competences:

Possessed (as far as good) material with chemistry in high school.Course content:
Atom structure, properties of chemical elements. Types of chemical bonds. Equilibriums in the solutions. Types of chemical reactions. The basic of thermodynamic and electrochemistry. x processes. Isomerism of organic compounds. Nomenclature, properties and reactions of organic compounds containing common functional groups. Chemical properties of carbohydrates, amino acids and peptides.Recommended literature:
