Students should know about volutionary processes, rules and principals of organic evolution. Character of progress and evolutionary complexity of organisms and their assemblages in association with abiotic environment. Student will have practical knowledge on taxonomy, systematics and phylogeny of fossil organism, on directions of their morpho-functional adaptations and on dynamics of palaeaecosystms in particular geological periods.Competences:
After completing the course students will know about evolutionary biology. This will allow students to continue studies in related fields, to carry out research or to be a teacher of biology.
Prerequisites:
Geology, Evolutionary geology, Invertebrate Zoology, Vertebrate Zoology.Course content:
Taphonomy and recording of geological time; the origin of life and organisms (speciation), advanced evolution; morphology, function and environment (adaptive origin); principals of the evolution of organisms; principals of palaea-ecology of organisms and biostratygraphy; principals of evolutionary biogeography.Recommended literature:
