After completing the course student knows warning systems for floods, droughts and other hazards, knows how to properly select the information process to a specific threat, he knows how to communicate in a crisis with the victims and the media.Competences:

Selection of the information processes depending on the type of risk. Types of communication - interpersonal, mass, informational, persuasive. Effectiveness and ineffectiveness of crisis communication. Selection of effective communication techniques depending on the type and scale of hazards. Principles for communication with the media and methods of cooperation with the media. Warning systems against drought and the extremes occurring in the atmospheric environment. Warning systems against fires. Flood warning systems in Poland.Recommended literature:
