Knowledge
The student understands the basic laws of electrical circuits for direct current and alternating current, knows the principles and methods of fire protection; knows the basic laws and principles of operation of electric power tools, knows basic protection against short circuit, overload, phase loss, incorrect phase sequence, etc. Student understand the principles of operation; understand the principle of operation of engines, one, two and three-phase, knows basic metrology systems.
Skills
Student is able to solve analytically simple circuits, different methods, determine the electrical efficiency of the selected devices, is able to select the basic systems and instrumentation for the measurement of electrical parameters and apply it correctly (measuring current, voltage, power and energy), is able to assess the correct installation and operation of equipment electric.
Competences:
Student shows understanding and is aware of the responsibility for the efficient and rational use of electricity for energy-efficient consumer electrical appliances and their correctly starting and control.Prerequisites:

The electric field, magnetic field, electromagnetic field. Basics of electrical metrology, fundamental rights and electrical circuits for direct current and alternating current. Analog and digital meters. Measurement methods in power and energy systems for and alternating current. Construction and operation of a direct current generator (self-excited, separately excited ), direct current motors (series, shunt, series-shunt), asynchronous (induction) and transformers. Methods of starting and rotational speed control of induction motors. Electrical light sources (including energy-efficient). Lighting, as a risk factor in the work environment. Power, protection circuits and electrical equipment (electrical equipment and installation). Protection against primary and ancillary.Recommended literature:
