Learning outcomes: Student after completing the course acquires theoretical knowledge and practical skills regarding the construction, and operation of the calculation and use of machinery and equipment used in processing milk. Able to choose the machines and equipment in the technological lines used in the various branches of the milk processing.

Competences: After completing the course the student has a basic knowledge of the machines for milk processing in terms of ensuring high quality. In addition, students should have knowledge in handling and use of equipment in dairy plants.

Prerequisites: Mechanization of Animal Production, Thermodynamics

Course content: The organization of receipt of milk from tradesmen to processing institutions. Pumps and device forwarding . Tanks for milk. Cooling and storage fresh milk. Method of precooling and storage in chilled state the milk. Hygiene of raw milk. Source of contagions of milk. Theory of process of cooling of milk. The selection of milk in of the creamery institution the investigation of summary milk in of the creamery institution.
