The student possesses the knowledge in the range of the engineering of materials, with the problem solving of static indetermination in machines constructions. Based on the strength criteria he is in a position to choose the shape and size of the profile of structural members, by the calculations for the simple strength and basic hypotheses of the materials effort. Competences:
The credit of the object creates bases of the independent projection or the modification of the construction of machines and agricultural devices. Acquired theoretical bases of engineering problems give the possibility of the understanding and the practical application of information presented in the technical norms, also in relating to the mechanical energy, work and power.Prerequisites:
Mathematics, Physics, Science of materialsCourse content:
Elasticity, plasticity, the Hooke law, admissible stresses , simple and complicate state of the strength, effort hypothesis, work, power, efficiency, mechanical energy, dynamic laws, dynamic of rotary motion.Recommended literature:

The obligatory credit of laboratory practices, written and oral examination - the required level of knowledge to credit: 70%. The influence on final opinion has credit of practices in 40% as well as the examination in 60%
