Learning outcomes: During the course the student acquires the knowledge and practical skills in the range of effective using of the wood-raw materials in the structural elements in country architecture, in the farm buildings and as the building woodworks elements.
Competences: The student can rationally use the knowledge in the range of technology of the wood-raw materials processes, their costs and also properties of obtained products.
Prerequisites: Botany, Engineer materials science
Course content: The range and perspectives of the utilization of the wood-raw materials. The wood and materials from wood: the classification specifics, assortments and qualitative. The compositions sorts of LVL, MDF and PSL . The macroscopic and microscopic structure of wood and materials from wood, their physical, chemical and mechanical properties. Technological and economic aspects of the processing of the wood-raw materials.
