After completing of the course student become familiar with the fundamentals of physiology of monogastic animals and ruminants nutrition. Should to know the basics of requirement of animals for feeds and the ways of balancing of diets offered to the particular animal species and feeding value of home-made and commercial feeds as well as is able to evaliate the feed quality and use them in modelling of different feeding systems. Moreover student is oriented in the modern systems of feeds conservation.Competences:
Student is ready to be employed in the feed industry, as an adviser of animal nutrition and as a teacher. Prerequisites:
Biochemistry, animal physiology, crop productionCourse content:
Requirement of animals for nutrients. Feeding value of roughages and concentrates and their utilization in feeding. Fodders conservation. Commercial complete feed mixtures, mineral and vitamin additives, microbiological and environmental contaminations of feeds.Recommended literature:
