Learning outcomes: Student will be familiar with the substantial knowledge on the physiology and biochemistry of nutrition, on the role of microorganisms in functions of the digestive tract in ruminants and monogstric animals at various trends of production, animals at different age, physiological and health conditions.

Competences: Chance of the graduate\'s work in specialized laboratories, in colleges and universities, in the feed industry, as an consultant on the animal feeding and dietary applications in different commercial and breeding animal farms.

Prerequisites: Animal nutrition, animal physiology

Course content: Physiological and biochemical conditions of the feeding of farm animals; Utilization of protein, energy and minerals; The ideal protein pattern for poultry and swine; Bioavailability of minerals and vitamins; Mechanisms of action of antinutritive and biologically active substances; feeding of cows (traditional systems, NEL, INRA), physiological conditions of the feeding of the fattening cattle and swine; New systems of the phasic feeding, ecology; balancing of recipes of feeds and premixes. Arrangement of the different variations of animal feeding in practical conditions; availability of nutrients from feeds.
