Student will posses the basic theoretical and practical knowledge on evaluation the morphology of fancy fowl breeds, pheasants, guinea fowls, quails and ostriches; on reproductive cells biology, embryo development and biological analysis of egg incubation; will knew the methods of short- and long term semen storage and gene pools conservation.Competences:
After completing the course student will be able to manage production at different farms with fancy fowls and other species recognized as poultry; can be employed in hatcheries and organizations working on avian gene pools preservation.Prerequisites:
Basic knowledge of poultry production Course content:
Morphological characteristics and performances of fancy fowls, pheasants, guinea fowls, quails and ostriches; technologies of egg incubation; embryonic development of birds; biological analysis of incubation; methods of short- and long term avian semen storage and gene pools conservation.Recommended literature:
