The student knows the construction of the animal organism, able to explain it occurring in regulatory mechanisms to ensure systemic stability of the internal environment - homeostasis. It also has knowledge of laboratory diagnostics, knows and can independently put into practice the analytical methods to correctly assess the functioning of individual organs and systems.Competences:
The student has the ability to apply physiology in performing his professional activities, including: determining the basic values and their physiological interpretation, planning and conducting research, analysis and presentation of results and drawing conclusions. Can proceed to further continue their studies or to objects such as reproductive biology. The student knows and is able to analyze the extent of physiological changes in the value of basic laboratory tests and the values of vital signs in various species of domestic animals and birds.Prerequisites:
Chemistry, biophysics, normal anatomy, biochemistry, zoologyCourse content:
Basic life processes of organisms and the mechanisms of regulation and
integration of functions of animal and humans organisms. Basics of functional anatomy. Discrimination and excitable tissues. Electrophysiology. Reflex as a unit functional central nervous system. Receptors senses. Standby and sleep, electroencephalography. Neurohumoral regulation systems. Blood - the environment inside the body. Neurophysiological basis of animal behavior. Methods of research in vivo and in isolated tissues and organs (in vitro).
