The student acquires practical and theoretical knowledge of the basic physical laws and measurement methods or determination of physical quantities in the realm of, among others, classical mechanics, oscillatory and wave motion, electrostatics, electricity and magnetism; also in the realm of hydrodynamics, thermodynamics, nuclear physics and radiation; and also the conservation principles in their various forms.Competences:
The knowledge acquired enables understanding of the physical phenomena and processes that occur in nature, enables application of the laws of nature in the professional subjects, particularly in town planning; it also constitutes the basis for conducting research, and for understanding the operation of apparatus and measuring instruments. general physics Course content:
The course content includes: classical mechanics, oscillations and waves (acoustics), electrostatics, electricity and magnetism, electric and magnetic properties of matter including, hydrodynamics, thermodynamics, radioactivity and elements of nuclear physics, and also the conservation principles. In the teaching scope are also elements of cosmology and modeling of physical phenomena. Recommended literature:
