Learning outcomes: Knowledge: decision-making processes and responsibility in various forms of company organization, conditions, requirements and rules for starting up and carrying out economic activity, possibilities and effectiveness of starting a business in agricultural, horticultural and forestry production. Skills: prepares for and accomplishes plans for starting a business (economic activity), keeps documentation of economic activity, signs and terminates contracts for employment, determines remuneration and its components, meets financial obligations of the company, cooperates with contracting parties, carries out training for the employed staff.

Competences: Tha student is aware of the importance of preparation of a plan for economic activity in the area of agricultural, horticultural and forestry production, to be successful, threats resulting from improper contracts of employment, pay, financial obligations, improperly kept documentation of the company.

Prerequisites: Agricultural Engineering, Mechanization in Forest Work

Course content: Rules, organizational structure and documentation of a business (economic activity), business accounts, possibilities and requirements for starting a business in agricultural, horticultural and forestry production.

Recommended literature: Przedsiębiorczość w Agrobiznesie. Hamilnon W. Wydawnictwa AR. Kraków 1996. Content of lectures is available for students on CD using multimedia techniques.

Assessment methods: Evaluating results of education in terms of knowledge: written examination. Evaluating results of education in terms of abilities: ability to develop a business plan and evaluation of its viability. Evaluating results of education in terms of social competence: individual work and group work, discussion during classes on the viable economic results based on the realized economic activity. Obtaining credit is compulsory on the basis of current project work completion and in a written form. Min
